Convert Excel (.xlsx) to CSV
Lead2Deed imports contacts from .csv only. If your file is Excel, save a CSV copy first — then import that CSV in the app.
Before you start
- Put column headers in row 1 (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, etc.).
- Use one sheet — Lead2Deed reads the first sheet / the file you export.
- You’ll map columns during import, so names don’t have to match ours exactly.
Excel on Windows
- Open your
.xlsxfile in Excel. - Click File → Save As (or Save a Copy).
- Choose where to save it.
- In Save as type, pick CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (*.csv).
If you don’t see UTF-8: choose CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv). - Click Save. If Excel warns that some features won’t work in CSV, click Yes / Continue — that’s normal.
- Close Excel. Use the new
.csvfile in Lead2Deed → Contacts → Import Contacts.
Excel on Mac
- Open your
.xlsxfile in Excel. - Click File → Save As…
- Open the File Format dropdown.
- Choose CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (.csv) (or Comma Separated Values (.csv)).
- Click Save. Confirm if Excel asks about CSV limitations.
- Import that
.csvin Lead2Deed.
Google Sheets
- Open the spreadsheet in Google Sheets (upload the Excel file if needed: File → Import).
- Click File → Download → Comma Separated Values (.csv).
- Import the downloaded
.csvin Lead2Deed.
Apple Numbers
- Open the file in Numbers.
- Click File → Export To → CSV…
- Export, then import the
.csvin Lead2Deed.
Then import in Lead2Deed
- Sign in and go to Contacts.
- Open Import Contacts.
- Choose your
.csvfile and map the columns. - Finish the import.
